National Business Development Manager (Commercial)
About Us 🚀
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property equity. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.
We’re now four years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over two-thirds of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.
Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies and finally being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.
The difference you’ll make
The role of Commercial Business Development Manager is to drive new business opportunities and expand Bridgit’s network of commercial finance brokers, accountants, and financial advisors nationally.
You’ll play a pivotal role in establishing Bridgit’s brand in the commercial property lending space, building long lasting partnerships, collaborating with our current and prospective aggregator partners, and providing expert guidance on complex commercial loan structures to ensure our clients receive exceptional service.
If you’re a relationship focused self-starter who is comfortable building a pipeline from the ground up, and thrive in a fast paced environment, this role is for you.
What you'll do;
- Build strong, long-term partnerships with a portfolio of commercial finance brokers, wealth managers, and key introducers across the country
- Be the national point of contact for all commercial lending inquiries and relationship management.
- Educate aggregator partners on commercial products to maximize opportunities and achieve mutual goals.
- Offer expert advice on complex commercial property loan scenarios, valuations, and lending structures.
- Meet commercial business settlement volume targets and agreed KPIs.
- Actively represent Bridgit at national industry events, functions, and showcases to expand the network.
- Manage the national sales pipeline, report on performance, and provide insights into market trends.
- Offer market feedback to contribute to the strategic development of the commercial lending product and process.
- Partner with Credit, Operations, and Marketing to streamline commercial lending processes and improve the broker experience.
- Work closely with the Credit team to articulate complex commercial deals for efficient and quick turnaround times.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, with an existing network and successful track record of working within the third-party (broker and aggregator) channel.
- Strong understanding of commercial property lending products, credit criteria, valuation methodologies, and complex lending structures.
- A relationship-first mindset with the ability to proactively build, onboard, and nurture meaningful, high-value commercial partnerships nationally.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in delivering high-impact commercial proposals and group presentations to sophisticated audiences.
- Collaborative and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and a drive to deliver outcomes, particularly when navigating complex and non-standard commercial lending scenarios.
- Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where establishing the market presence is paramount.
- A current non-restrictive Australian Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to travel nationally to represent Bridgit at industry events, conferences, and to engage directly with key brokers and strategic partners.
