About Us
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property equity. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution - empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we're making property finance seamless and stress-free.
We're now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three-quarters of Australia's broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia's largest aggregators Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group - and we're just getting started. Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People's Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn's top 20 Start Up's in Australia 2025.
The difference you'll make
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be the operational backbone of our engineering department. As our squads scale, the administrative and operational "glue" required to keep the department running smoothly compounds. You will step into this critical gap, allowing our Head of Engineering and Tech Leads to remain fiercely focused on technical architecture and delivery.
You'll be instrumental in building the operational frameworks that support our teams as we continue to grow our industry-leading bridging finance products. By owning the "business of engineering", from hardware budgets and vendor management to KPI tracking and cross-functional alignment, your work will directly impact how seamlessly our engineering team operates, setting the standard for how modern lending platforms operate under the hood.
What you'll do:
Budget and Hardware Management: Own the laptop upgrade plan, procurement processes, and hardware inventory for all engineering staff.
Vendor and License Management: Manage SaaS subscriptions, software licenses (e.g., Jira, GitHub, AWS), and act as the primary point of contact for external tech vendors.
Data and KPI Reporting: Standardise and track key engineering metrics across all squads, building automated reporting dashboards to give leadership clear visibility into team health.
Process and Tooling: Advise on the administration of our engineering productivity tools and standardise workflows to reduce friction for the engineering squads.
Onboarding/Offboarding: Design and manage a seamless onboarding experience for new engineers, ensuring they have the right hardware, access, and documentation on day one.
Strategic Support: Act as a sounding board for the CTO; draft initial plans ("straw-manning"), proposals, and rollout strategies for new operational initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the engineering liaison for company-wide operational rollouts, partnering closely with HR, Finance, and IT.
What you'll bring:
3+ years of experience in Engineering Operations, Technical Program Management (TPM), IT Operations, or Business Operations working closely with software engineering departments.
Demonstrated experience managing hardware budgets, vendor relationships, and software licensing.
A strong analytical mindset with experience tracking and reporting on operational KPIs, OKRs, or engineering delivery metrics.
Experience overseeing engineering productivity tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub) and optimising team workflows.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain operational and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive approach: you think from first principles and can break complex operational problems down to fundamentals rather than relying on default patterns.
Ambitious and motivated to build robust fintech infrastructure within a growing business, bringing a positive, pragmatic attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
