Business Analyst - Lending
About Us 🚀
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property finance. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.
We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.
Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.
The Difference you'll make:
As our Lending Business Analyst, you'll be the critical bridge between our product and engineering squads and the data platform, ensuring every development decision, product iteration, and lending workflow change is reflected in how Bridgit uses data. You'll translate what's happening across our portfolio product squads into clear data impact, and convert complex lending and mortgage domain changes into actionable requirements for our data platform.
In your first three months, you'll embed yourself across Bridgit's product and engineering squads, getting across our bridging finance and mortgage products, understanding our loan lifecycle, and mapping the data flows that underpin them. You'll quickly become the go-to person for how product and engineering decisions ripple through to the data platform, ensuring lending-critical data from application through to settlement is accurately represented as our products evolve.
Working closely with teams across Product, Tech, Credit, and Data, you'll be the conduit that ensures nothing gets lost in translation, whether that's a change to our credit policy, a new transactional banking feature, or a shift in broker distribution that needs to flow through to our reporting.
What you’ll do:
Documentation & Optimisation (First 3 months)
Complete migration of remaining department reports (Finance, Credit, Distribution, Marketing)
Create and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and standard views documentation (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers)
Document all existing Power BI reports with clear business logic and data lineage
Build and maintain a "standard views sheet" documenting all reusable data assets and their business definitions
Optimise and standardise reporting processes across all departments
Building New Capabilities (Ongoing)
Design and specify new reports and dashboards to support product expansion and business growth
Maintain the standard views documentation, ensuring all new data assets are properly catalogued
Define requirements for self-service analytics that empower business users
Partner with FP&A to develop forward-looking analytics and forecasting capabilities
Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new data initiatives
Translate complex financial and lending requirements into clear technical specifications
Validate data quality and business logic across all reporting deliverables
Champion data governance standards and maintain single source of truth documentation
What we’re looking for:
3–5 years of Business Analysis experience within Lending, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders ranging from technical squads to executive leadership.
Advanced SQL skills (complex queries and optimisation) and a solid grasp of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling).
Act as the primary translator between business needs and technical execution, converting high-level "whys" into structured technical documentation.
Lead the charge on data migration and reporting transformations, ensuring data integrity and quality are maintained throughout the lifecycle.
Working knowledge of Power BI (DAX and data modelling) and a strong understanding of relational database structures.
