Senior FullStack Engineer (AI)
About Us 🚀
Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property equity. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution - empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we're making property finance seamless and stress-free.
We're now five years old and making huge strides. We've accredited over three-quarters of Australia's broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia's largest aggregators - Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group - and we're just getting started.
Our momentum has been recognised with awards including Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, the 2025 Finder People's Choice Award for Lending Innovation, Deloitte's Tech Fast 50 2025, and a place among LinkedIn's Top 20 Startups in Australia 2025.
The difference you’ll make
Bridgit is transforming property lending, and AI is key to scaling our platform. We are expanding our AI capabilities to transform how financial data and operational workflows are processed across our core platform.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI), you will work closely with our Tech Lead to design, ship, and scale production-ready AI systems. You will take ownership across the entire stack, building intelligent data pipelines, implementing agentic workflows, and establishing the monitoring and evaluation frameworks required to ensure real-world accuracy and reliability.
We are looking for an engineer who brings proven experience shipping AI features into production (such as AI Agents, RAG pipelines, or automated workflows) and who actively monitors, measures, and refines model outputs using real-world performance metrics.
What you'll do:
Build Production AI Systems: Architect and ship reliable AI capabilities, utilizing frameworks like LangGraph to orchestrate agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, and intelligent document processing systems that automate complex financial and operational processes.
Full-Stack Application Development: Write clean, secure RESTful APIs in TypeScript/Node.js (NestJS framework) and build modern user interfaces in React/Vue to bring AI features directly into the hands of users.
Evaluation & Telemetry: Build evaluation loops, logging, and observability frameworks to track model accuracy, latency, and real-world decision reliability, using performance data to continuously iterate and refine outputs.
Support AI Governance: Contribute to systems for reproducibility, traceability, and quality controls in accordance with Bridgit’s AI Governance Framework and Risk Appetite Statement. Support monitoring and observability.
Adopt standardised AI coding tools: Use and provide feedback on standardised AI coding tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex, within org-wide configurations. Help track tool usage and reliability.
Contribute to a “shift-left” culture: Share practical, AI-enabled workflows and coding practices with peers, and continuously improve your own productivity without compromising code quality.
What you’ll bring:
5+ Years of Full-Stack Engineering: Proven experience building and scaling web applications, with experience in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks.
Experience Building AI Products (Not Just Using AI Tools): A proven track record of shipping AI capabilities into software, such as building RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, or intelligent document processing as core product features.
Monitoring & Measuring Success: A proven track record of monitoring AI features in live production environments. This includes defining clear success metrics, tracking real-world performance, and using data-driven feedback loops to continuously refine model outputs over time.
Clear Communication & Ownership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate technical tradeoffs, scope features clearly, write high-quality technical documentation, and collaborate cross-functionally.
Fintech / Domain Experience (Bonus): Prior exposure to finance, fintech, lending, or data analysis is a bonus
